About me
I’m Nina and I’m studying Graphic Design in the second year. I'm from Switzerland and I moved to Rotterdam in the year 2019.
My study choices for this year are the commercial and the autonomous practice. My motivation to join the New Frontiers was to learn more about speculative design and what the commercial practice are about.

The dead media artefact me and my group (4) chose was the praxinoscope. A praxinoscope is an animation device that can create the illusion of motion. It used a strip of pictures placed around a spinning cylinder of mirrors in order to do so. To see movement, you turn the cylinder by hand and the drawings begin to come to life. Someone looking in the mirrors would see a rapid succession of images producing the illusion of motion.
