What can you make out of a pineapple?

THE PINEAPPLE CHALLENGE

The pineapple is not only an exotic fruit to eat, it can also be a source of inspiration and a tool for designing. During the experimental phase of this project, I realised that a pineapple has a lot to offer. It can be deconstructed into different components of which each shows different properties. I developed a method on how to make drawing and printing tools out of them. To see what I made out of each component, click on it on the illustration and explore my tutorial videos. Follow my tutorials to get some inspiration or create your own version. If you feel inspired by that, you can also deconstruct other fruits in a similar way and develop other unique methods of printing.
