In the end, I felt limitated by the tool and I think it could be more interesting if it was more abstract. So, my next step was trying to apply all the textures of water I found during my derive on 3D objects in Unity and create a journey through water like a game and in a more abstract way. In Unity I am more free in what I want to build, I can add sounds and effects. I can build an envirnoment to dive into. I made this also because I wanted to experiment in Unity and try to apply what we learned about it. It is still very simple and more a prototype of what I had in mind because I decided to do this step late in my process.
During my derive I just went around and explored a bit. Let myself guide by randomness and guts. I was intrigued by the shapes and textures of the lakes and oceans I saw. When I looked back at my pictures I saw water as a common theme. That is why I went on searching more specifically, I concentrated on clear waters in the world because I wanted to see more of that and I pinned a few places to a virtual tour on Google Earth. My outcome is a journey to explore some of the world's purest bodies of water. I made it because I was intrigued by the textures and glitches in the water. I found it interesting how these lakes and beaches are displayed in Google Earth and if I can see the quality of water. I added a little excerpt of articles I found about either place. It is made to lean back, enjoy the images and learn a little bit about these beautiful places.
